CUCA&T brand identity




Task:    Develop a visual identity for the Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism.

In the Crimea only one cultural university has state status it is Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism. History of the University takes its beginning from 1948 since the founding of the Crimean Kultprosvetshkoly that 10 years after its discovery combined with the Library School. In 1966, the school was transformed into the Crimean State Kultprosvetuchilische. In 2002, at its base the Crimean Department of the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts. In 2004, by Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea school was transformed into the Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism. This event was a landmark in the cultural life of the Crimea.

Logo of the University is the main visual element of corporate identity. Sophisticated design is based on elements and principles which are combined and coordinated with each other. When designing a logo we lean on the University slogan "From Art to the Stars".

The main element of the logo — a figure personifying the image of the nine muses - Protecting Arts and Sciences. The raised hand calls on young talent to seek the higher art, to the stars.

In all advertising products CUCA&T used two fonts: SPSL Old King C — for headings and Maiola Pro — for the text portion.
