Vernadsky CFU new style
Task: Develop a corporate identity for V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University.
A few years ago, Marina Mukhanova, a student at the Department of Book Graphics and Printed Design, Tavrida Academy, set an ambitious goal – to develop a new corporate style for V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. It was decided to abandon the heraldic approach, which does not correspond to the spirit of the modern, rapidly changing world.
The concept of the noosphere, proposed by V. I. Vernadsky at the beginning of the 20th century, was taken as a basis. It was necessary to visualize the noosphere – the sphere of the mind, the new state of the biosphere, a special form of interaction between society and nature.
The visual solution is intended, first of all, for the youth audience – applicants, students, young scientists. They must perceive a new visual language so that the university receives a new impetus for development. It is no secret that the environment, including the visual one, determines the quality of upbringing and education of a young specialist.
In the course of work on the corporate style, the slogan was coined: "I am the noosphere". This decision is aimed at creating a spiritual connection between the young specialist and the idea of the noosphere and university, in which he will spend happy moments of his life.
To date, we have the basis of a dynamic visual language of V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, which can be extended to all areas of visual communications of the university: souvenir and printed materials, navigation on campuses, a website and a mobile application, and much more.
